Bringing together Arizona Progressives to take back our country!
(HOME)
TURN AZ BLUE!
|
| Our Mission |
- We intend to bring together activists, bloggers, and voters to work toward progressive political change in Arizona.
- By sharing information and keeping each other informed, we can coordinate efforts to promote progressive causes and candidates.
- We hope to provide a forum for local Democratic candidates to present their positions on issues of concern to Arizonans.
- Anyone who shares our goals is welcome to join and contribute.
- The age of open source politics is here. Lobbyists and special interests have run Arizona for too long.
- Let's take back Arizona from the big money special interests and the right wing crazies!

The GOP cocktail hour known as "Politics on the Rocks" is having a fundraiser for Arizona Right to Life this evening. As you may have heard, the founder of this group,Charles Jensen, was recently embarrassed to find his name on the list of clients for a major prostitution ring called Desert Divas. Jensen denies that he ever used the services of Desert Divas, but some say his alibi is more full of holes than swiss cheese. Meanwhile, State Treasurer Dean Martin has canceled his scheduled appearance at a "Politics on the Rocks" event and prominent members of the board of directors for the group have resigned, including KFYI talker Mike Broomhead. GOP candidates for governor Vernon Parker and John Munger have resigned from the organization's board as well. They're obviously not waiting for the other shoe to drop and you can't be too careful these days.
Anyways, back to the AZ Right to Life fundraiser...

The Phoenix Chapter of Drinking Liberally meets every other Thursday at Rosie McCaffrey's at 906 E Camelback Rd and guess what day it is? It's that Thursday!
So if you're in the vicinity, please feel free to join us for a brewski and banter. Starts at 5:30pm and we'll be at the big table in the rear with our DL sign prominently displayed.
Our humble host of Drinking Liberally, The Desert Rat, has a birthday coming up soon, so stop by and wish Stu a happy birthday. Stu is the guy who sends out the biweekly email invite for DL along with his snarky summary of the news. If you're not on our email list, his latest missive can be found below the jump.
