TURN AZ BLUE!
|
| Our Mission |
- We intend to bring together activists, bloggers, and voters to work toward progressive political change in Arizona.
- By sharing information and keeping each other informed, we can coordinate efforts to promote progressive causes and candidates.
- We hope to provide a forum for local Democratic candidates to present their positions on issues of concern to Arizonans.
- Anyone who shares our goals is welcome to join and contribute.
- The age of open source politics is here. Lobbyists and special interests have run Arizona for too long.
- Let's take back Arizona from the big money special interests and the right wing crazies!

Rejecting the suggestion of House Minority Leader John Boehner that he resign, indicted Congressman Rick Renzi says he will stay the course:
U.S. Rep. Rick Renzi said Monday that he will stay in office while he fights corruption charges.
"I will not resign and take on the cloak of guilt because I am innocent," Renzi said through his press office in Washington, D.C. He added that his legal team will handle the accusations against him as he continues to serve his constituents.
A 26-page indictment unsealed Friday contends that the three-term Republican congressman engineered a swap of federally owned mining land to benefit himself and a former business partner. The indictment was the result of a federal investigation that put Renzi under a cloud for more than a year.
In all, Renzi is charged with 35 counts including conspiracy, wire fraud, money laundering, insurance fraud and extortion.
His arraignment is scheduled for March 6. Convictions on the most serious charges carry maximum penalties of 20 years in prison.
You're going to the stripy hole, Ricky.
I wonder if Renzi will call straight-talkin' John McCain as a character witness.
Fired U.S. Attorney Paul Charlton gets some satisfaction. |
